Selling a site, do I just zip it up?

Hi guys, if I want to sell a website, is it a matter of just ftping it into a folder, and zipping it up?

Does the person who buys it just have to upload it to their server?

It's a wordpress site... so, do they need wordpress installed for it to work?

There are 2 files that you have to prepare:
1. All your site files. You can zip it.
2. Your database backup. You can do export on your wordpress database using gzipped compression.

They don't need wordpress installed to make it work, they need to do the following:
1. Upload the site files to their hosting via ftp.
2. Create database and import your database.
3. Create user for database with all privileges.
4. Edit wp-config.php to setup host, database name, username and password.

Did you take complete backup of your website? If not then take a full backup from your control panel.

What JayWiz said, plus depending on what domain extension you use, there will be additional steps transferring ownership via your registrar.
