I use Parallels also, it works just like Virtual PC. You can also use VM Ware. You can also use something from Apple called "boot camp" that lets you boot windows on your mac.

There are a variety of options.

Bootcamp is the first one - you create a separate partition and install windows on that - then you can dual boot. It's pretty easy if you have the wincd etc... do a google search for bootcamp install.

Secondly there's parallels - a virtual PC. It can use the bootcamp partition but runs windows in its own little bubble.

Vmware fusion does the same thing - can run bootcamp as well.

Finally Virtualbox can run windows in its own window. It's free but it can't handle bootcamp partitions at the moment.

All three of the virtual applications can also be used to create Linux systems too, and even at a push a Power PC version of OSX!

    Kind regards, Spencer

      Hello,

Virtualbox is very good. Free and constantly improving. Search lifehacker (dot) com for a great article titled:

      Thanks
