upload_max_filesize and post_max_size HELP PLEASE!

Hey guys,

I'm having a small issue right now trying to decide limits for my php.ini file.

Some info on my website: A DJ community that relies heavily on live streaming and online music sharing. DJ users can upload audio up to 150MB.

Now here are my questions...

1.) I would change the Post_Max_Size to 150mb, but then what should I make the upload_max_filesize? 150mb as well or I've heard it should actually be like half?

2.) Because we rely heavily on live streaming, it's a pretty memory intensive site. Currently our setting is 64mb. My programmer said with our dedicated server, we should be able to run at 256mb no problem. Also the memory is supposed to be higher than post_max_size, correct?

Any insight/help would be appreciated guys

Cheers,
Brandon

    1. I thing in you case, post_max_size can be 10%-20% larger than upload_max_size.
    2. No, the uploaded file is stored in /tmp not in PHP memory. PHP only stores some metadata about the file.
