Programming Innovation - Opinions Needed

Hey everyone,

I am in the process of launching a health company, and to build buzz before the website goes live we have released a 'splash page'. This took us a while to complete but it's very fun and interactive. It will engage users and encourage them to move through the sequence and ultimately subscribe.

From a programming perspective we had to prepare for so many different scenarios and that's a large reason why it took so long. Please let me know what you think about this page.

    That was a really advanced splash-page!

    It looks cool, would be nice if you also let the user switch to the metric system (cm and kg) in the BMI calculator.

    Yeah, we looked into doing the conversions but it would have required a lot more time. We had to weigh the advantages and disadvantages and decided that since this page will only be used for a month or so that the extra work wouldn't be necessary.

    Also, our main target audience are North Americans so that factored into the decision as well.

    Its a nice page. But It takes some time to load even in 4Mbps connection.

      I second this. The page design is superb, but I think you need to reduce the loading time. You might also want to add some text below the loader, such as "Please wait..." or "Loading..." and add the load percentage info.

    I think it looks great! Very fluid and intuitive. The only thing that stumped me was entering weight, I wasn't exactly sure what to do on the wheely thing and I accidently hit the forward button and had to redo. The second time through I just typed in my weight.

    Its really COOL and creative. On such sites I will definitely stay . Good Creativity and use of elements. I guess nobody wants to leave from such sites once they visit it.

    Good idea for an online app. If you can build in some type of tracking for each person to come back over and over I can see this working well.
