Help with Wordpress

I just recently purchased a website , with Wordpress Skywave Theme.
I am trying to change the text in the header, but cant seem to find where to do it...

Do I need programming skills to use Wordpress??

I am a newbie at this..

    You just go to Settings>General and change the title in there...
    If not, you can go to the THEME OPTIONS every theme is different.
    Also you can look for youtube videos or look in google, there's plenty of options

      Yes I did change title and tagline under Sttings>General... but it doesnt change on my Website..

      Do I need to upload this change to my site??

    It's actually uploaded, you're doing it online.
    If it's not changing you may have look for the answer inside of the THEME OPTIONS

      Yes I did look in theme options but theres nothing there..

    To editing process, especially if you want to change text header, you can edit trough wordpress dashboard and go to header options and find header text inside. Then, you can modify the value as you want.

    Should be something like Appearance>Editor>Header and you can edit what you want the text to say there. You don't really need programming skills. Look in the header for text that is already in your header and just change that. You can also look in the "main" file in the editor if you don't find what you are looking for in the header file.

    appearance>edit then edit .css and index.html file.

    Hi there...i suppose that the site you are talking about is acousticguitarlesson.org...as they explained you in wordpress forum, at the moment your whole header is an image(including the text/title).

    In order to change this you have to replace the current image with a new one, if they gave you a PSD(photoshop file) with the design when you bought the site then this is pretty easy...if not then you have to create another image for your header with dimensions 985px width and with a height of 200px (those are the exact dimensions you website's header use) then you have to upload it.

    If skywave has an admin option for uploading a header then you can do it from wordpress admin or else if an option for this is not available then you need to upload it using ftp to this directory and replace the current one wp-content/themes/skywave/images/header.jpg

    To edit the header, after uploading it, you should go the appearance panel and edit from there.
