Advice about 2012 Project Management Tool

Hello Members,

We need to know which Project Management platform is mostly used in 2012 . We found this website and we get shocked to check basecamp is not there (which we are using).

    I wouldn't put too much weight on "Top Ten Reviews", as they have a financial incentive for many of the products that they "review". The products listed there are by no means the "most popular" ones.

    That said, I haven't used any of the project management solutions in that list. I've tried Basecamp, Dot Project, and a few others though. Didn't really like any of them, so I wound up developing a custom solution.

      the same goes for me.
      I haven't used any of them.
      I used Pivotal-Tracker and RallyDev community.
      They're not free, but they provide me great tools

    I had been using basecamp for 6 months till August this year. I have tested around 10 project mangement tools and found it to be the easiest to use. But one critical feature i found lacking in basecamp is that there is no option to hide some project details from a user. It is a major issue if you need to get some project work done by a freelancer. So i have started my own project management system using wordpress (under development). Till now i have been able to customize everything that i need for my projects.

    I have been using Joomla with ProjectFork as project management solution. It is very easy to use and very good extension. As for a standalone script with many features I can recommend CodeCanyon - Freelance Manager. Just google it and check it out.

          It all goes well with Orchestra with what it intends to do but if you're considering implementing an organizational tool for your team, be clear with what you need. Orchestra is a robust service, no doubt, but if your team needs a more comprehensive, complex, featured, and powerful system, it may be beneficial to look elsewhere. For those of you looking for a lightweight and streamlined solution to staying organized, Orchestra may be the best option.

          I have heard a lot about pivotal tracker too and most of it includes good things. Pivotal tracker will save your resources and since it is web-based, it is accessible from everywhere which will appeal to any business, no matter how big or small.

          It all depends on the requirements of the team.
