Where to Find Coder For This?

Im looking for someone to code an interface along the lines of articlewyz.com, where it submits to multiple web 2.0 & social sites through an interface. I don't need all the bells and whistles, just something that runs it all web based and allows for drip feeding ect... Ive tried oDesk and haven't been having much luck. I get a lot of applicants but none of them seem to really get what I need. Ive run into this problem a lot with oDesk. A lot of people think im looking for web design when Im actually more looking for web based scripts. Im assuming this type of thing is done through PHP. Anyone know where I can look or can recommend someone?

I don't have much experience with submitting content to other sites through an interface. But if i was to do it I would develop a script that constructs http requests on the fly, and submits them to various content sites. So you should probably look for people on Odesk or freelancer who have experience with simulating "http POST and GET requests", and using various API's of the sites your trying to submit to (if there are any). That would be the most difficult part.

    No no..
By looking at articlewyz.com; I see that what they're doing is more simple that you think , dp40oz,. They just use XML-RPC to submit articles to a network of blogs. Their idea is that simple. And it might work, who knows..

I doubt if it is via XML-RPC or any other API, since I am not aware of anything supported by all sites to which articles are submitted. I assume it is done by mimicing the HTTP Post (as mentioned by Ttrain )from the server side, which means your script would need constant maintenance to cope with any changes in input parameters in each site. These are my general opinion, didn't take a detailed look.

You can find a lot of good freelance programmers on Elance. This is not a very complex task or difficult to understand.

    just checked their features:
    main-features/

Cannot find here any "web 2.0 & social sites".
All I can get from their description is that they post on 55+ blogs, so you need a tool that will help you to post on multiple blogs? If so, just check what does Askmet plugin for blogs, it blocks spam.

IMHO the idea is useless. These guys most probably post on their personal blogs.

Running a personal blog, I keep moderating all posts, allowing no spam at all. I think the other serious bloggers do the same.

If you signup for an account you'll see that they post articles to tons of blogging sites like wordpress, tumblr, gather, livejournal ect...

they say that they post or they really post? Is there any proof?

Why I am asking so, don't you think people that run "blogging sites like wordpress, tumblr, gather, livejournal ect..." are fools and allow spam to their internet resources.

I build such things for posting and they always are half working, e.g. they post for some time, but at a later time appear patches that stop the flow of ads into these resources.

If you see that these guys resource works, just use it. A program for posting to the same resources will worth you much more than a paid membership.

I've blown many thousands of dollars trying to hire off-shore people to do software for me.

It wasn't until I became CTO of the startup that I'm working at that I figured out how to do it.

    * I don't use oDesk to get developers anymore. Instead I use oDesk to find someone local to the area I want to hire from, then I pay them to post job ads.

    A few other things:
    * Only allow people to work in the same general time zone that you work in. 2-3 hours off is fine, but none of these shenanigans where they're awake and you are asleep. This means that you might want to target South and Central America. Spanish speaking countries use the job website: Computrabajo.com
    * I use HiveDesk to track time. But more and more, I keep people on salary. This is probably not possible if you are not working with the person or they are not working as part of a team.
    * For various reasons, its better to hire more than one person. One person working on your project from their home will get lonely and their thoughts will get inbred. Also, with more than one person, people have accountability to their peers, their less likely to dick around when their peers will notice.
    * Don't hire a company to develop the software for you unless you have a few hundred thousand dollars to blow. Hire a few bright off-shore developers and manage them your self.
    * I use PivotalTracker.com to task out items and track progress.
    * Stay in constant contact throughout the day. I use oovoo.com and we're all on video conference virtually the whole day.

I don't know very much about PHP except that its an easy language to abuse so you get a lot of developers working in it who have spent years coding but still don't really know what they are doing.

For server-side stuff, we use Python. Obviously JavaScript for stuff in the browser.
