Removed widgets still show up in wp - help!

PROGRAMMING

I've successfully removed all widgets in WP 2.7 admin panel. All appear in 'available widgets' and I get 0 in 'used widgets'. However I still have the right sidebar I'm trying to remove! Help please.

I'm not a CSS wizard, but just removing the widgets isn't going to remove the sidebar. For that you'd have to edit the index.php file.

They may be hardcoded into the theme's sidebar.php file, in which case you'll need to edit that.
