How to back up entire asp.net website

I got a new client, they are currently having asp.net website.
They need to replace responsive wordpress website.
I am familiar with wordpress customization
But don't know any thing with asp.net
I wanna back up the current website.
Please help me , how to do it ?

    FTP, download all files... or on the Windows server... make a copy of the folder.

        How should we know?
        Once you get the code, read it and see what it does. If it connects to a db, guess what, you'll need to figure out where it is and make a copy of it too.

        There might be "code behind" files that won't be on the website that will be important and the original developer should have those.
