Hey any of you guys got any ideas on this WP problem?

I posted a thread in the AdSense.... forum, and I maybe should have posted it here. It is obviously a programming issue, I think. No one has even looked at it.

Here is what I posted: Thread click here ---------------------------------
I am editing one of my blogs and I want to set an H2 tag, and the drop down wouldn't work. I use Firefox as my default. So I went to the text tab, and that wouldn't open either.

I tried to set a link, but the link icon wouldn't open the dialog to enter my URL.

I opened IE and tried that one, but same problem.

What the hell is going on? Do I have to give up internet marketing? This is just getting way too hard to deal with all the time.

I tried to download Chrome, but for some reason it just will not install the program it seems. I will try to do that again, but this is just getting to complicated.

EDIT: So I got Chrome to working, and I have the same problem with that browser. What the hell am I going to do, this is crazy. I was just editing it yesterday or the day before. I haven't installed any new plugins. If I could edit it with Dreamweaver or Notepad, I would take that option, but I don't know how to do that with a WP blog.
End of post:--------------------------------------------

Got any ideas? I have not published it because I can't finish it. If you need to see it, I will figure something out or just give you access temporarily, as long as you are a member of WF in good standing.

Glad to help, and also glad you got it fixed.

Anytime you have a problem with WordPress, after an upgrade you need to check if everything on your site is up to date. Often the theme (as in the case here) or one or more of the plugins have not kept up with WordPress which is now coming out with a new version about 3 times a year.

Well this didn't last long, I reverted back to theme Twenty Ten because i was having problems with the other theme, and it is not working again. I can't use the theme I first switched out as there were too many other problems. So if the default theme won't work, what the hell?

Am I just never supposed to succeed with internet marketing?

Well I finally figured out the problem. I have been using a Clickbump plugin for my on page SEO, and I deactivated all my plugins and started activating them one at a time and testing. As soon as i got to the Clickbump plugin, it wouldn't work again. so I guess that must be my problem. It is an old plugin and i have not received any updates to it in a long time. I do not see Clickbump on the forum any more, so who knows. Pity as i used to like that plugin to remind me of things I might have missed. Oh well.

Any plugins that haven't been updated in six months should be suspect. If not in a year, really suspect.

I will rarely use a plugin not available in the repository, and always look at the support thread at WordPress to see if people are having problems, and to get an idea if the developer supports it.

Hi Tim, the ClickBump SEO! plugin was updated recently to version 3.7.6 to resolve a jQuery version issue with the latest version of WordPress. You should upgrade the plugin to resolve the issue if you are running WP 3.5 or greater.

Feel free to hit me on the support email or forum if you have any trouble.

PS: I've been spending less time here of late just out of time constraints. I've been heavily involved in the ClickBump version 6.5 theme upgrade process and working with beta testers to polish and optimize the code for release.
