What is best tool for software member ship website ?

i am going to create and launch is software that extract email address from craigslist. I want to allow user to d.load a free version of the software. With the software there will be a link to purchase to software (Activate, or pro version) When user clicks on that, they will be redirected to landing page where they can pay . After payment they will get an automated email with random key for the software so they can activate.

What is the best tool to have this feature ?

    Are you sure you want site membership software? It sounds like you are looking for software activation, which could be as simple as having your successful-payment page generate a random token in your database, and then when the customer's software later communicates with your server, if the token matches, activation is permitted. Sorry if I'm misunderstanding your requirement here.

    You need a licensing script. I purchased one on code caynon for $5. Use a payment processor that has IPN functionality. Once a user purchases have your IPN handler insert a key into the database for the user where email == email or similar. Then email the user the key or make them login to there account to get the key.

    You will need either licencing script or authentication script i would advice you to hire a programmer and get custom script from them, which will provide better security for you
