How Put Security Passcode On WordPress Site?

PROGRAMMING

Sort of like an artist who doesn't want his/her work seen before it's done, I'd like to do similar with a WP site. I have a domain already, but haven't set the dns yet. I'd like to and also put up a theme I got here from WF. I then would like to work on it without others being able to view it.

How would I set it up online and have a passcode to access it? I am not that well versed with WP and how to set them up, so I'd need to know where to put the script and how.

  Another option will be to use simple http based authentication.
  
  Configuration will depend on your http server and hosting provider but it's usually pretty easy to setup and you'll not need to install anything on your wordpress.

Those under construction plugin is a good way, apart from that
1. you can also try to setup frontpage from the general setting from admin panel.
2. You can play around with two index.php file by renaming according to your requirement.
