Looking to make a news bulletine

PROGRAMMING

Hey everyone, I normally hangout in the ecommerce section but I have a question which I thought would be better suited for this section. I would like to create a bulletin kinda like reddit where things can posted and voted up or down. Does this sound like something that is very complex or is this a rather simple site? What would it take to have a site like this built and how much would you expect a site like this to cost if constructed?

I appreciate any advice you have to give, many thanks!

very cool! If you don't mind a have a few more questions since I'm very new to all this.. So given it is open source it would be possible to set up a clone of the site and modify it to my needs correct? how difficult would it be to do this? Also where is a good place to learn how to do this? The only code experience I have is a touch of html from code academy haha

You can do the same thing with most forums scripts with plugins.
vBulletin, for example.
