Cloning a wordpress site??

Is there a way to create a new website in wordpress without having to set up all the settings and install a the plugins and tweak them all?

I have a website with all the settings and plug ins I want and how I want them ... can I clone this so that my new site will have these same exact settings without me having to completely set up the new site??

thanks

There are also a number of paid tools available as well. WP Twin and Backup Buddy are two of the more popular ones

As long as you've the access to the files and database, this can be done easily.

If you're not comfortable suing cPanel and FTP, then the best way to do this yourself would be to use this plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

Depending on the theme you're using though I've seen situations arise where some theme settings are lost when you change domains.

InfiniteWP is a great tool not only for making and deploying WP clones, but also for managing a network of WP sites (adding plugins all at once, and so on).

If I were to hire someone to do this for me, how long would it take an experienced programmer with knowledge on this to do?

I did this in the past in less than 1 day of work. but editing config files by hand, is time condsuming and boring.

You can use one of the many tools available (like Backup Buddy) to do a quicker job

Couple of hours for me depending on the size of the site. I do the work manually, making sure everything works as it should.

I've been using xcloner plugin to duplicate or relocate sites. Just takes a few minutes to do the job.

I'm pretty sure there are plugins that do that? If not, you can just backup your database.

For free one i'm used to XCloner plugin.. but it's not excactly the same with my website which i clone. Some setting are missing, but not much.
But for best cloning, i'm used to backup buddy altough it's not free. Backup buddy save my life, because XCloner can not work with litespeed web server. if your server use apache than litespeed, just use the free one, XCloner.
