Trying to install my web form on leadpage template

Hi, I understand HTML code quite well and can do simple editing of templates, but I'm now trying to instal my form on a lead pages template, which has the double optin thing where you click a button and then a pop up with the form appears:

The code of the button looks like this:

<div class="button">
<a href="" onclick="javascript:return false">Yes! Send Me the Free Report &raquo;</a>
</div>

So, if I put a link and put javascript "true", when the link is clicked it just redirects to the url.

I wonder is there an easy way to make it work or does it require a lot of coding?

I tried looking into the javascript files, but couldn't really find anything helpful.

Any advice would be helpful thanks in advance
