Submitting blog to Google News ?

Anyone knows what it takes to get accepted to Google News?

Do they accept niche blogs connected to ecommerce sites if the writing is worthwhile to them - for example something like a crime news type of blog, etc.?

    Blogs from ecommerce sites aren't automatically excluded but it is obviously less likely to get approved. Better if it is a different domain or at least subdomain. Be extra careful to make sure articles are real news.
