Nowadays there is only one way to improve rank position. You need to find only high quality niche sites and create backlink from those sites.

No need to do bulk link. Take time, find relevant high quality site and do backlink. This is the only way to save your site recently. Otherwise, your site will definitely be spammed.

I think you can read more great content for your website and your keywords. Beside, try to increase social for it. You can use some social media as: Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter, Pinterest...

Add relevant content of your topic that will boost your ranking in Google.
Use your topic/keywords in forum signatures
Adding links in social profile is also a plus point.

usually if you are already ranking highly in the top 5 spots, then it just takes 1 high authority link to push you to top 1-2. Check the authority of those ranking higher than you - see what metrics they have that are better than yours, DA/PA moz, majestic CF/TF etc - and then put in some effort to improve yours.

Social networking sites can be a good way to promote a site, but it is unclear how much it will affect your rank directly. Google+ promotion may have the most impact. That said, you may find that a great deal of your traffic comes from social networks, so be sure to make your content social friendly. Add images and give your content interesting titles.

  Create mixed type of backlinks and submit your site you high page rank site to create backlinks. Remember that ton's of low backlinks are less valuable than few high PR quality backlinks which looks so natural to the eyes of google. Obviously follow whitehat method by abiding Google panda and penguin updates.

If you want to rank well in Google, then content marketing is one of the best ways to do so. For that you need to setup a blog to your website after that you have to write fresh and engaging content to your blog. Post this content across social. media or any other where you will get the visitor to your blog. Make great content. Provide useful information that genuinely helps people. Look at what your competitors are doing, then do something even better.

Then it's just a matter of getting the word out and attracting links (which should be easy if your content is great).

Beyond that, you've asked a question that is really vague -- "how to improve ranking position on Google" is what this entire site (and thousands of other sites) are about. Nobody can summarize everything in one post for you. Get busy, start reading, learn as much as you can, and then work your ass off.

You need a complex approach: post interesting easy to read articles in your blog, try guest blogging on trustful websites to get more backlinks, use social networks Google+, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Linkedin and Flipboard app to promote your content, and start Google AdWords campaign if you don’t have one, google usually encourages companies, which use its services.
