Is my site to spread out?

I wanted to originally start a sports forum but decided to make it a general online community instead. Although I'm in no hurry, and have no plans of getting rich quick, it is becoming hard at times to try and generate content for so many different topics.

Here is my site: Home - ViceHood

Some questions for you guys.

- Should I scale it back and focus on a few topics/niches?
- Should I look for partners/investors to help create content?
- Or should I just give up?

Is the internet too saturated to even make a dent these days?

Thanks in advance.

    Vice,

No, the Internet is not too saturated, there is plenty of room in every niche for quality content, products and services.

The problem is with your thinking. Casting a wide net hoping to find a lot of interested prospects is exactly the wrong approach.

Be specific. Be very focused. Most people think it's important to appeal to as many people as possible. That's just not what you should be doing.

The deeper into a market you go, the more likely you are to find groups of people (your audience) that have common interests, wants, problems, desires and passions. You want an audience that all think alike so that when you put offers in front of them, they will all be perfect targeted customers.

Don't worry that you won't have enough of a pool of people to draw from. The Internet is huge . . . global . . . and you will be surprised just how many folks there are in the smallest niches.

The place to start, in your case, is to drill down as far as you can into the sports market. Settle on one sport. Then drill down some more and focus on one team, or one little segment of the market. Then go even deeper if you can. Don't leave out your market research so you know what types of things are currently "in demand." It's not a difficult or a lengthy process but it will make all the difference in the world.

    The best to you,

    Steve
