It's that stupid Yoast plugin in you are using. It's an option in there somewhere.

I'm less inclined to help him. I know where it's set to noindex. But the fact he's taking on clients and can't even work a simple Yoast plugin is enough for me to leave him to it.

In my blurry, barely awake, not enough coffee state, I thought he said he was working on SEO for a friend.

You are right though. He did say client.

          Screw this.

I suppose you accidentally noindexed your pages and set the homepage as static, had this before myself some time ago, kinda silly mistake. Just go to SEO --> Titles & Metas --> Posts / Pages and uncheck the "noindex/follow" box under pages.

    Code:
<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin v1.6.3 - https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/ -->
    <meta name="robots" content="noindex,follow"/>

Seriously, I've seen this happen so many times, people trying to rank pages they've noindexed.

Agreed, those so called SEO plugins can easily cause damage to a site/page. Nothing is worse than noindexing an entire domain. The site might as well not exist (site:vmv-2.com).

Even If OP disabled the plugin Google would index the pages.

Are we getting paid for this?

And that's why you don't let clueless web developers use a plugin like Yoast.

Awful plugin with very little built in documentation warning what noindex can do, can cause so much SEO damage in the wrong hands.

Your half way there, you've removed the noindex tag from the HTML. Index the pages in WMT with Fetch as Google.

Maybe because noindexing a page that's trying to be ranked isn't the smartest thing to be doing. If the Yoast plugin wasn't installed the noindex most likely would have never been added to the webpages HTML.

That plugin makes it too easy for inexperienced people to remove their pages from the SERPs, the same pages they're trying to rank. Doh!

I don't use SEO plugins. I hand edit my source code.

Yoast isn't all bad, I learned a few things about ranking video thumbnail images from his own site source code. Google changed a few things, but I had a good run while it lasted. I haven't bothered to try & get the thumbnails back on regular SERPs, they still show on Video organic SERPs.

I would never use an SEO plugin because I like to do things my way, I'm not guessing what a plugin is doing. If I do the work I know what's going on.

If your problem present you can check...
    1. Meta tag for no index
    2. Check robots.txt for disallow
    3. check website structure

    You can index fastly...
    1. fetch your url in webmaster tool
    2. create some backlinks

For the looks of it - you have told the search engines to not index your site.

You need to check that and change it.

You can either use a plugin or do it manually.

I wish you the best of the best!

    Cheers!
