How To Do OFFpage White-Hat SEO Today?

Hello Everyone,

I have a not done any serious SEO for awhile now, I used to be an expert at it and did well with my own websites and client sites too, but over the past couple years I have not stayed ontop of everything, just taken some webinars or read about it. So I have good understanding and background in SEO on and offpage.

I have a new website and it's setup to be onpage SEO friendly, so I get my posts indexed fast in the search engines. So I am starting to look more at OFFpage SEO, while I focus on building my site's quality unique content.

Please let me know what are the best White-Hat OFFpage SEO strategies that will improve page or site search engine results that work today?

guest posting. social media doesn't help your rank but does get you straight traffic and can increase bounce rate which will help with seo. paid directories. blog commenting on dofollow websites with low out bound links etc.

I would suggest, PR marketing, get mentions on high quality niche websites, social bookmarking on top 15 sites only, niche forums and blogs.

Keep in mind that Matt Cutts (head of Google webspam) has gone on record multiple times stating that guest posting is not acceptable. Also keep in mind that a guest post from moz.com (obviously high authority site) was listed as an example of spam in a site's manual penalty. You need to be really careful when guest blogging and it should not be your main link building practice. Guest blogging should be more about establishing yourself as an authority within your industry as opposed to simply gaining links.

There is still many other reasons why you should do guestblogging.

Matt Cutts words:
There are still many good reasons to do some guest blogging (exposure, branding, increased reach, community, etc.). Those reasons existed way before Google and they’ll continue into the future. And there are absolutely some fantastic, high-quality guest bloggers out there.

Here's some ways to generate quality backlinks which are effective in the SEO world and are the best techniques considered in white hat SEO purpose as well as generating traffic:

- Submit Business Listings
- Submit on Classified sites (if offering products)
- Take part in Forums & Questions/Answers(try to give some genuine solutions)
- Blog Commenting (for branding)
- Guest Posting (for exposure and branding)
- Social Bookmarking
- Social Media Sharing
- Directory (only if have high PR n relevant to your niche)

I think the way is by generating quality back-links to your website.
I am sure you're already aware of orthodox back-link sources, but a few days ago I stumbled on this blog that discussed some less known sources of generating back-links.

you can get backlinks from some audio-sharing websites having PR upto 7 by submitting creative audio to them.
you can also get upto 7 PR backlinks by giving charity on certain websites.
you can generate backlinks by giving testimonials, and there are many more great tips like that.

As a off page SEO work, you can start solid SEO work. Such as forum link building, Guest posting, Article marketing, Bookmarking and directory submission work. As well as you must be need to post unique content then you will get good and real visitor and drive a ton of traffic for your site. Thanks
