Hello warriors,
I've just set up my new wordpress website, but I cannot figure out to display my description on the google search results. When I search my website, I just see the first post of my blog as google results description, and I don't want that...
I've put my description of the tag line on WP settings, I've put as meta tag and description on my <head>, I've tried to find an option to do that in my SEO by Yoast (without results), but nothing worked, description won't display on the search results of my main page.

How can I solve this problem?

Install the WordPress SEO Plugin by Yoast. You can put Meta Description and Meta Keywords for your WordPress blog easily.

      I have Yoast!
But I can't find where I have to input the meta description of the site.
Is it the box called "meta template"? I think it is not, because Yoast calls templates to inputs like %%sitetitle%%, %%sep%% or so...

Here's a tip that will save you and and seemingly millions of others here:
        Ditch wordpress.

          Hey Paul,

What do you suggest building sites in?

          Thanks

I dont use WP so I can't help with that, but Google doesn't always use the description that you want it to. They even changed the title of my page (changed some characters, not the actual words). When you change your meta description, don't expect Google to change immediately.

SEO is a slow process. Results are not produced on the spot. Today's work will give the end result after some one month. So in this case as well I would suggest you to keep patience and the result will surely come up.
