Hi,
I was typing some keywords into Google the other day and I noticed that when I typed 'latest technology news' my site showed up in between some big sites like cnn, and pcmag etc. But this was a link I placed on youtube which automatically gets posted to my Google plus account that was showing in the results. I have put an image of the results below:

I know youtube doesn't allow hyperlinks but Google still picked up the anchor text for some reason.

Can anyone explain this as I would like to use this tactic to make my site show up on more on Google's first page.

Thanks in advance.

Log out of google and open a new icognito window in chrome, and do that search again. I bet you don't show up on page 1.

    EXACTLY!

When you are logged into, Google is essentially bringing up your search pattern or websites you've visited in the last few days.

Log out of Google and do a fresh new search.
