In SEO terms if you produced two identical websites and one was dot com and the other a dot info or a dot org, would there be any significant disadvantage?
In other words are you likely or less likely to gain a page 1 position within Google for having a different domain name extension over a dot com....... does Google discriminate against some extensions over others?
