Is it by having the infographics you are proposing for websites to post on have it linked from your site, or rather that if a high authority site is interested in it they could mention your main site with a backlink to your site from their article?

-Thanks

  • Good question.

One of the best infographs can be found here. If you scroll down to the end of the infograph, you can an embed code for the infograph.

People generally love infograph compared to the regular blog posts and tend to share more often aswell.

If you were to copy that code and paste it onto your site, you'll not only be presenting quality information in a beautiful format, but also linking back to Brian's blog post.

You get a beautifully formatted, helpful piece of content - Brian gets a Do-Follow backlink.
    It's basically a Win-Win situation.

    Hope it helps.

I understand your question. Yeah infographics is a good way to build backlinks to your website. But you've got to have a great infographic to stand any chance of it getting shared or embedded by webmasters on their websites.

So, just create a GREAT infographic, submit it to infographic website, follow up on those who embedded them on their webpage without linking to yours, and be creative.

    Nice question,
The pictures will always stay in our mind for a longer period than the texts. And the audience can grasp the information more quickly through the images. This can be re-posted on the other sites. This will help to get the traffic to the page.

People like infographics. They tend to get shared/cited across social media platforms and over the long term can get used by different webmasters/sites and can get you many different backlinks.

An infographic is a visual representation of information. Instead of writing an article or blog post that covers a lot of ground and uses enough stats and percentages to make the reader’s head spin, you can create an infographic that ties it all together in a handy dandy image.

ust because infographics are known as link bait, that doesn’t mean that it is guaranteed that they will be. The key is that it needs to be of good quality. Don’t think that you can just throw an image together with a couple of stats and get it to go viral. It takes a lot of hard work and research to create an infographic that is actually worth sharing. If you’re going to make one, do it right. Cover an interesting topic and make it look good. Unlike purely text content, looks matter too. If you aren’t very good at design, hire someone that is. Once you’ve created an infographic masterpiece, be sure to start sharing it in social media to get the ball rolling. Share it with the right people that will find it useful and pass it along to their contacts.

Infographics provide a large quantity of information in a very small space, in easy to understand terms. For this reason, the infographics are very popular online and likely to be republished from your website. Just be sure to insist upon a backlink from anyone who publishes your infographic, though this won't always happen. If someone publishes your infographic on their site, it will result in a good backlink.

Is it going to give you any super high PR links? Likely not. However, I use them to diversify and increase my linking IP's so it's worth something…. Just don't make that your only link building effort and you will be in good shape.

Infographics are played out. These days it's not going to net you many more backlinks than a solid blog post would.

Another point is how some people will just repost your infographic or meme without backlink, which defeats the SEO benefit for you.

There are many reasons why infographics could be good to market your content.
    1. The Audience can quickly grasp loads of information and they don’t have to engage in long pictureless descriptions.

    2. The graphics are more memorable than chunk of text.

    3. Your infographic can be easily reposted therefore you get a link to your site which is good for your SEO!

    4. If your infographic is well designed people are more likely to share it, so you get more traffic.

    5. Infographic is more likely to go viral.

    6. By breaking down the topic in graphics you can make your content to be more easily accessible to people who do not know the subject much.

You could use an infographic to drive traffic to your website if you place it in your social media account. For example, a Facebook post with an infographic can get people interested. Not much text is needed to accompany infographics, but you can write in the description about them seeing more information on your website.

In the internet era people are constantly BOMBARDED with information and thus have tiny attention spans. We process visual information exponentially faster than text, so infographics really help to get your message noticed.
