Alexa Rank Question

Hi
I have a question ... if user visit direct to my website image link like:
Code:
http://domain.com/download/1286/3d_spheres_hd_wallpaper.jpg
from social site or any other site .. will my site alexa rang get up ??? or stay as it was ... ???

    It doesn't help for alexa ranking. Alexa only base on the backlinks from the "alexa resource site"

    as far i know when any visitor visit any page of my site .. alexa count that .. maybe they need to install alexa toolbar .. buy alexa didnt rank depend on backlink ...
    but i want to know if alexa can track jpg image link ...

      This one will take some sorting out.

      Perhaps you think if you put a million small images on a page,
      get traffic to it, then alexa will count a million views of those images
      as a million "pageviews." Most likely, no. It would count
      as one unique visit, however.

      I would imagine that alexa only counts what's in the browser address
      bar. That's the page that loads.

      If people somehow load just the image, I can also assume that
      alexa will count that as a "pageview."

      I would not even worry about alexa.

      What are the chances of someone having alexa installed, AND,
      loading just an image? Slim to none for 99.99999999999999% of us.

    If they have the alexa toolbar installed, yeah.

    A bit of advice: forget about Alexa rankings and focus on more important stuff, like your bounce rate, conversion rate, Google rank, etc

    I mainly ask coz i make a wallpaper site
    so if anyone share my wallpaper link like:domain.com/download/wallpaper.jpg in facebook and i get traffic from there or if anyone use my wallpaper image link in forum or there site ... (hotlink) i will loose bandwidth right ??? so do my alexa rank get high for that ?? if not i will block hot linking.

    Alexa Traffic Rank has some value as a vanity statistic, as it might impress people who don't know how easily it can be manipulated. I agree though, that you'd do better to concentrate on developing rich content, and the rest will work itself out.

      In wallpaper site .... how can i make the site with rich content ..
      Its all image in every page ... yeah i am creating backlink .. i need alexa rank for dumm people ... coz i want to sell the site .. and lot of people take alexa rank seriously

        Alexa rank depend only visitors quantity if they have alexa toolbar installed. So actually it can't show real visitors it is just show you an idea of visitors of your website.
