Purchasing Cheap Backlinks. Do They Really Work?

I see a ton of offers on Fiverr like this one offering buyers cheap high PR backlinks. These offers come from the same people who sell fake likes, followers, views, etc. While I know the social media counts they sell are fake, I also know that it doesn't really hurt your rankings.

I am curious to know if anyone has tested out these backlinks and see whether they positively or negatively affect SEO. The seller will obviously say it is safe for Panda, Penguin and Hummingbird but I wouldn't take their word for it. Would there be any gain from having your sites linked by these types of pages?

The headline says "PR10" backlinks, then the copy says PR9 backlinks...so you can start with knowing that whomever posted that is absolutely full of crap.

What anyone with even 1/16th of a brain will know is that they're NOT PR9 or PR10 backlinks. They are crappy forum/comment profiles, created that day, that are PR absolutely NOTHING and never will be because they will never get any links other than the other crappy ones they are building for you.

They don't work. They never will work.

Of course, I'm also betting you are the seller of that GIG looking to increase some sales for yourself.

Its obvious that something is fishy which is why I posted the question, hopefully to find out HOW they can make such claims. Based on what the general feedback here, this is just a straight up bogus LIE.

Also, I hope you didn't bet anything important because you would have lost it.

Fiverr links are a great way to tank your rankings, that's really about it. Fiverr is great for other stuff but not for link building.

I would not suggest buying any kind of links from Fiverr, otherwise we'll have another thread from you in a few months about how your site can't rank for anything.

Fiverr is built on easy to mass produce activities, and for links that's exactly what you don't want.

One of my friends recently purchase backlinks from Feverr and he has been facing some issues. Apparently, he ended up getting links from bogus link pyramids. Currently some he is getting links from some Chinese websites while he lives in U.S, therefore, i wouldnt recommend you to go for such an option.

I got several good backlinks in Fiverr. Small the offers -like 1-2 "contextual link on my PR 4 blog" tend to be ok. The ones that offer you more than 3-5 are CRAP guaranteed. There are some crazy ones with hundreds of "manual" links, it's ridiculous , they should not be allowed to advertise that.

Don't buy backlinks for Fiverr. If it were that easy to tame the Pandas, Penguins, Cobras and fire ants (and what not), they wouldn't be there in the first place. Trust me cheap Fiverr backlinks would do your site more harm than good in the long run.

I've used backlinks from fiverr sellers before, and some of them have been useful. You need to know what you're doing though, and where the particular service fits in your strategy.

You're a lot better off writing a marketing plan and figuring out how seo will assimilate into that. Yes, its more work, but you'll also get better results.

Probably they can be usefull if you want to try some negative SEO... or maybe for tier 2-3 ... but I will never use them in my own website or tier 1...

If you do get anything from Fiverr, I suggest you build backlinks to your less important properties such as an Ezine Article, but not to your main money site or at the very least, use FIverr along with other methods but don't rely solely on Fiverr for backlinks.

    Why Backlinks are important:
Now, lets look into the tough part first and understand why backlinks are important from a search engine perspective and why you need to work on building tons of quality links to your blog. Now, here I’m not talking about building those crappy links which you can easily create by hiring some one on Fiverr, but I’m talking about those natural links which point to your site via other people blog post, guest post or via commenting.

    Page Rank:
    Faster indexing:
    Search engine ranking:

It is not a good idea to PURCHASE BACKLINKS whether from Fiverr or any other source...because Google is very smart to know all these activities so to rank website in few minutes or hours will surely invite Google Penguin. It is also worth mentioning that once you got these spammy backlinks then it may be HARD TARGET to get rid from these once.
So the better idea is build backlinks by using natural and seo friendly methods.

If the OP would allow it:

Would cheap, shitty links rank short-term? Any-term? Just wondering because I've got a niche coming up and I'd need to be ranked for about 2 weeks. So, do sucky links provide ranking at all before pulling you to the gapes of hell with them?

Right. It may be difficult to find true backlink provider on Fiver but the truth remains that you can get quality backlinks there that will not harm your site.

I would recommend you not to buy cheap backlinks from any platform. These are unnatural links which can be easily detected by Google. Google hates artificial links and considered them spam. Try to build natural links using off page techniques like social bookmarking, PPT sharing, video sharing, blog posting, participating in forums, blog commenting and others. Do these activities on high PR websites and build quality backlinks.

    Hi There,

I would personally try to stay away from them. A great way that has worked for me is reaching out to other webmasters or bloggers on topics I blog about (especially if they have lists my articles would fit into), and ask them if my article might be a valuable tool for their article.

    PS: it's worth it

    Thanks,

    Chris

Thanks Chris, this was exactly what I had in mind. I'm currently researching all the sites (blogs and publications) for keywords I would like to rank in and I plan on reaching out to them with an introduction of my site.

IF you're in the agency business you'll most likely be buying links. People pay you money to rank, so if it's a niche that's difficult to get links in, I'd recommend bending the hand of God and buying them.

If the niche is topical and lends itself to outreach, I'd always 90% of the time produce decent content... for one it's enjoyable and adds something to you resume you can show for at the end of it all.

As long as the links are from relevant content of high repute, it will help. Other than that, it may harm your rankings.

      Buying links isn't a problem.

The problem is fiverr is junk link blast with each gig having 10s/100s of buyers sharing the same junk backlink pages which turns backlink pages into spamfest.

The funny thing is some of those fiverr gig comments have buyers/fools dropping their domain URLs in the comments. I've seen one buyer domain that had a backlink on a backlink page that had 12,000 OBLs (not exaggerating).

Also, on the fiverr Youtube link blast gigs, some of those buyers have the exact same profile name on both fiverr & Youtube. No footprints happening there, lol.

Expensive of cheap it doesn't matter... the main point is the link quality.

If all links are build to just pointing on your money site with all keywords, you will make Google throw away your site far from front page of SERP. Make sure you use a lot of generic keyword instead of main keyword.

Don't let Google kill your site just like that!
