Are there any up to date materials worth buying that will teach you local seo that actually works and will get you on page 1 and high listing? It's my thinking that they probably leave out little bits and pieces that are crucial for success.

Also, is there a difference between seo for desktop vs mobile?

I've always had zero interest, but it's now become a necessity that I start learning.

Subscribe to BrightLocal. Use their tools and watch the webinars. Get on a local seo forum and read.

    Use consistant NAP.
    Build quality citations.
See the website as an extension of the Google listing.

Read Moz's Local Ranking factors. For learning the basics, there is nothing more to say on the subject.

Find a local client (or build a local site of your own), and try to rank it. This will create problems & questions that will help you learn faster than any course.

I would not recommend Source Phoenix or Source Wave or Alex Becker as it is basically a crappy SEO course where he just tells you what to do and does not actually show you how to do anything and when you ask for a refund you will never get it...................Even though it was a unconditional 30 day money back guarantee. It is just a way to sell you a $997 rubbish course as a way to upsell you to a higher ticket OMG program! Not Happy
