Unfortunately about 60-70% of my online earnings come from eBay Partner Network, and apparently Google has it out for EPN sites. My highest earning EPN site (around $500-$600 / month), along with 8 or so other EPN sites was de-indexed recently for a "violation" of some BS.

I followed all of their guidelines. I agree with this guy's assessment.

Well Google is a business like any other so I guess they can do that if they want. You should never base your marketing strategy on just one system especially if you have no control over it.

I know that. If one relies upon organic traffic, one can't help but be somewhat reliant on Google since they dominate search like they do.

Not quite. They're big enough to warrant anti-trust scrutiny from the US Justice Department even though the candidate they heavily supported sits in the White House. They've already came within hours of having a case filed against them so they have to be extra careful not to cross certain lines. But, one day, they'll cross one of these lines and be in court just like Microsoft, AT&T and Standard Oil.

That's one reason I have learned (a painful one) not to put all my eggs in the same basket. I used to get a big portion of my income from Adsense up until last year, and then it all gone up in smoke in a month. For reasons Google refused to tell me, and no, I'm not using any blackhat methods. It took me weeks to build each of my site.

Believe it or not Google usually does it for a good reason. But it sucks when you're one of the guys doing nothing wrong and get hit by it.

I went from receiving over 1,200 clicks per day in EPN, to around 300 per day due to being de-indexed. That is pretty drastic!
