How big a difference do you think it makes being on page 1 vs page 2 for a keyword for your website?

For example let's say something like - HD TV'S or car dealership

    In most SERPs, less than 10% of the searchers ever look at page 2.

    I was figuring less than 10% click pretty much anywhere below slot 3 or 4 on page 1, unless they're really not finding the answer, or product, or whatever

    Obviously it makes a huge difference. Very few searchers take a look at page 2

    Unless your at the top of the first page you might as well be on page #2 because there's not much traffic clicking on something like position #8 or #9 on the first page.
