[TuT] Want Your Deleted Web Pages Removed from Google Search!

Hey there WARRIORS,
Here's a method you can use to remove old/deleted/obsolete/removed, well you get the idea, pages from Google search.

Keep in mind you may only be able to remove deleted webpages that no longer carry any content.

The webpages needn't be yours. It can even be an InstaGram, Pinterest etc profiles that have been deactivated or deleted.

I wouldn't call this de-indexing, more like completely removed from Google search.

I found this online and thought I should share it with you guys, its as easy as 1,2,3.

Here's the method :
Step 1. Find the exact URL of the page you need to have removed from Google search.

Step 2.

Go to this link : https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals

Step 3.

Enter the URL of the outdated content and Google will confirm if the content has indeed been removed.

Step 4.

After confirmation, just request the removal.

If the content is still live, then like I said, Google will ask you to contact the website owner and will NOT remove the page from search.

This works only with deleted pages that still show up on Google search results.

These pages may or may not be removed eventually. This is kind of like a method to seal the deal and it's a really handy trick.

    "no longer carry any content" means it should return the 404 status code or even the 200 with blank or no contents?

    Generally I see that it takes less than 24 hours to process a request. Note if you leave the input blank that it will remove your whole domain from the search so be careful.

    I knew about this tool but never needed to use this tool. No doubt its an essential tool and many a times I noticed a search result which gives you 404 error and gives bad user experience. So its better to delete those pages instead of giving bad impression to your audience.
