Hey warriors

From some days i have been tackling with seo and keyword analysis and i did one post on both of my site which is domain.com and other is hosted as domain.wordpress.com try to see which one come-out better in google via the post keyword i wanted to rank.. and guess what domain.wordpress.com wins with better ranking in search result and my own domain.com site couldn't make it to page 2 via the keyword i wanted to rank though i have good backlinks but still doesnt work in this thing..

both sites are on wordpress and same age...
though i checked in majestic tools about domain.wordpress.com and it does have better Search Score,Trust Flow,Citation Flow,Referring Domains & External Backlinks why is that?

now i am confuse what and why my own domain cannot rank well in that same keyword where else domain.wordpress.com work quick and better result...?

let me know your input on this...

thanks

    Hello,
Thank you for this valuable post. I also have a www.mysitename.com and it ranked on page 2 on Google. Unfortunately, my registar has a problem with me as it also offers me a hosting plan to my site which I refused. I thought deeply and decided to go to www.wordpress.com and build an alternative site. I am so worried about Google indexing and ranking of my www.mysitename.wordpress.com. After I had read your post, I am sure that the matter of Google indexing and ranking is a matter of CONTENT. Isn't it?
I am waiting your valuable opinion and feedback.

Check if the rankings for "domain.wordpress.com" stay for a week, a month, or so..

If this is the case in your niche, your competitors can just create variations of "domain.wordpress.com" like "keyword1.wordpress.com" and "keyword2.wordpress.com" to outrank you..

First of all, there is no difference for Google between domain.com vs domain.wordpress.com . The only difference is the URL. People purchase self hosted domains because to eliminate ugly url.
I think there is difference in content.... and backlinks..

WordPress.com has more authority than any new domain, so you'll neee less links to rank with a name.wordpress.com subdomain than a name.com domain. That's why the wordpress.com subdomain ranks better.

Wordpress might delete your blog anytime. But if you can have your own hosting and domain, it would be your own.

Perhaps one morning you will find your something.wordpress.com blog getting vanished to nowhere!

This is the same using a domain.blogspot.com. I think the best reason is that, Wordpress.com already build bias trust to Google. hmmm... I smell fishy... hehehe
