get natural links from industry related website. We shouldn't bother much about what techniques are good or bad, rather we should focus more on better content, so that anyone can share it.

Focus on getting links from theme related sites, these links will be highly relevant and considered quality links. You can use any technique (article, guest posting, PDF submission, directory submission etc) to acquire these links.

Do you mean guest posting on popular blogs? Because blog posting is usually done on-site.

Guest posting has slowed down a lot since the latest Panda update though since penalties are now given for backlinks from content mills. Guest posting only helps if you're getting published on high authority sites.

Another method is create some fresh/unique and interesting contents on regular basis that people love to share within their network. This will also divide your effort of link building.

The best technique involves creating useful infographics, videos, and articles and publicising them to get other relevant/authority sites to link to them.

If you are thinking of focusing on just one off-site SEO tactic just because it is very effective, I suggest you drop that idea. A successful SEO startegy or one likely to produce success would encompass different techniques. You might succeed in ranking your site with just one tactic, but the majority of sites ranking high today were ranked using varied tactics.

Content is king. Build a strong interesting website and links will come. Obviously you will need to get backlinks by manual methods. This will be time consuming but worth it in the end

Such useful recommendations! Seems like the list is endless when we talk about working on off site SEO. For me content matters, so that's where one should start by having quality content then other techniques will follow.

Most effective in this case has 2 components:
      you can do it
you can do it in combination with several other methods.

So, which method can YOU do, consistently enough for long enough?
Which other handful of methods do YOU know how to implement and can implement consistently and long enough?
