Home Page Linking SEO

Hey,

Even though I rank WordPress blogs very well, one thing I am not sure about.

Does linking to the home page improve rankings for all your blog posts in the website?

Will it give them more juice?

I never really link to my main url.

    it depends what is the most common target of backlinks. If people link your blog content (deep links) in that case linking to the homepage from blogs can increase the linkjuice passing to other blogs aswell (if you have a tag cloud or a blog roll on the homepage). If your backlinks are directed to your main url mostly, in that case you should have means to reach every other page of your website in a maximum of 2 klicks to effectively pass the linkjuice.

      That's very interesting, I am going to test that.

    If you deliver a bunch of links to the homepage, then that homepage will have juice. Now, every page (including inner pages) linked to from that homepage will get juice from it. Say you have your main blog page linked to from your homepage.that blog page would get juice from your homepage, and then pass a little of that along to each page it links to (for example, all your blog post pages on that page)

    I don't really think so......In your website,if u write about seo post, then try to inter linking your inner seo post.......This may pass some link juice...............
