Hi all,

was reading this link: Inoculate Your Website From Google Updates

I was looking at the following:

You can also protect your site by getting mentioned in and linked to from educational journals, news aggregates like CNN, BBC and AP or by getting links from any of the top authority sites of your industry including .gov sites. This will all vary depending on the niche of your website.
QUESTION: How does one find the "top sites" in their industry

Manually create and manage your social media accounts. You should have a Facebook page, a Google Plus page, at least 1 Twitter account. Even Linkedin and Myspace are social networking sites that will add creditability to your online reputation.
QUESTION: Are there any other social media accounts that one should create? Also, should you inoculate first and *then* work on SEO - or - should one work on both at the same time?

The only other ones I thought about were
=> Yelp
=> Angie's List
=> Yellow Pages
but, are there any "obvious" others that should be included?

Regards.

    I tend to do the both. I participate actively in social platforms my audience frequent and I also build high quality backlinks.

    So you can do the both.

    The top 10 ranking sites in Google for your keyword are the top sites in your industry.

    Those social sites are probably sufficient for most. No need to look for other social sites.
