Earn though blogging

Hi Guys,

I know this is a very vague question, however need to ask. I have a blog which I started few years back. (intention wasn't to earn money), however now I want to make money from it and so my first question:
How much pageviews are require to earn some money. (50-100 $ per month would a good start). ?

Right now blog draws around 6000 page views, I know to earn as per my expectation I need way more than that. So I purchased custom domain and moved my blog to it. Wanted to move it to automationtesting.com however didn't get that so compromised with automationtesting.co.in.

My second question is, will this help me in increasing any traffic, if yes how much percentage ?
I have google analytics account setup, so probably after a month i would be able to compare, however anything I need to care during this.

I read lot about earning with blog and I understand that the I should blog frequently and regularly. Which I am planning to do.

I would appreciate all the tips to draw more traffic to my site.

It's easy to make money from blogging, but in these I am not sure what I can expect my past methods.
It does not depends upon pageviews, but depends upon the quality where the traffic is coming.
An Example if you are getting more traffic from US, UK then you are making good amount.
If traffic comes from lower countries then the price per click would be low.

You have used co.in domain that is a wrong way to rank in other countries.
Use Google trends to find best searching keywords for your site.

  This was the statistics before I moved to custom domain of a month.
  Page views: 6,386
  Sessions: 2,544
  India: 1,040
  US: 546
  UK: 124
  
  Earning: 1.45$
  
  you can see earning is nothing, I thought that has to do with low traffic. I searched on the internet and came to know if I move the blog to custom domain my traffic will increase and so my earning.
  
  As I said .com domain was way costly, can't afford it, I was having option between .co.in and .in. after searching on the internet, came to know the .co.in is better and purchased it.
  
  I am not sure, how exactly to increase the earning. if someone would even point me to good article or webpage where authentic information is mention would appreciate it. (it's hard to realized which information is applicable or correct in this ocean of information)

There are some methods to findout why it hasn't working with you. Did you ever tried to change the ads placement?
Are all these from Search visits?

  82% is search visit and rest it returning visitors. However I have only one add, in top right corner and other at the end of the blog. if you would visit the blog and let me know few pointers regarding adds would really appreciate.

Why don't you try paid guest blogging. At least you will earn more than $1.45. I usually charge $30 for a guest blogging on my blog.

Hi,
Ru presently focusing on google adsense as your income source? or have you tried 3rd party ad platform also?
I have gone though your blog and it is good technical blog, where i believe your readers are working professionals.
So is it bit easy if your giving them good value information they will come to you in future also.
So there are 2 things you can do:
1) To make your readers to come again, just make a facebook group and ask you readers to join it with a popup or something.

2) If you really wana make good money out of it, then you can use content locking platform also to generate money like docketupload(dot)com or many more.

3)as nil123 said above you can use guest blogging also.

Well to earn around that much, its not just about drawing visitors on your website but also how many visitors click on the ad. You should find a better AdSense service and focus on unique blog posts to get more visitors.

  I got some more information from my adsense account as mentioned below
  
  CTR: 0.51%
  RPM: $ 0.44
  CPC: $ 0.09
  
  Now according to this for 6000 page views per month, I will get only 30 clicks and so i will get 2.7$. However my report says I have got only 1.45$ for same month.
  
  I think it is much more complicated than this, I read somewhere that it also matters from which country your traffic is coming (US and UK gives you more earning).
  So my question is, is there any way to increase CTR or CPC ???
  
  I also read some where that keyword also matters, What I mean to say is, if someone lands on my page by searching certain keyword and then click on the ad I get more compared to other keywords. and there is some websites which shows which keyword can get you more earning. is this true ?
  
  Is there any type of ad where I get paid, just for visiting my page, ( I mean user not necessary need to click on them)
  
  Otherwise I guess to earn 100$ per month, I will have to increase my blog traffic from 6k pageviews to 60k page-views and this task is like mountain.

Earning around $100 a day with Adsense may prove to be a challenge.

Although you don't want to hear it, you may eventually have to secure the
.com domain so that you can get the full benefit of a TLD. Otherwise, try to monetize
with some affiliate products that you can make commission on. Good luck...

It's very easy to make money from blogging. You can't just based it from the amount of the traffic that your site got. It's all about the strategy on how you are going to monetize it. You can start by promoting other people's/companies products or sell your own product. You also try Adsense and the likes.

The main thing you need to do is provide valuable information and always follow your passion.
