Does having multiple backlinks from the same domain help better than one backlink ?

Let's say I have 4 backlinks with different anchor tags from example.com ... Are those 4 backlinks counted as separate backlinks and each giving you value for ranking or is it just the same as having just one backlink from that domain ? Basically , what I'm trying to understand is if different multiple backlinks with different anchor tags from the same domain give you more value in ranking than just one backlink from the same domain ?? Thanks in advance

    Your question cannot be answered. There are too many intangibles that go into
    whether or not google even counts a link. The only real answer is, yes it's
    possible. Or not.

    What type of site it is? If you are buying from a blog or site then counted it as one link only.
    Web 2.0 sites are in different and people has different page rank tot heir profiles and buying links from these pages will give different role.
    Also do on relevant link building method.

    Exactly , if you buy a links then you can go with just one link but make sure that website is fit as per the search engine algo, and exactly Google never give good value if you create a page and put there many times same website link but i will recommend one is excellent but two is considerable , 3 is not bad 4 is dangerous

    So far as they are from different pages of the domain, they are counted as separate backlinks. But if they are from the same page, only one of them would pass link juice to your site.

    I think they count as separate, if they come from different pages that are part of the main website. In any case, maybe try getting other backlinks from other websites as well, diversity is important when it comes to back linking (quality too!)

    ahh neither. 1 quality backlink from high PR blog or site will be enough rather then 4 from different domain having less PR.

    Having number of backlinks and their weightage are two different things. They all will be counted as different if came from different urls. You can check this (the total count) from your GWA under external links section.
