Reposting from article directories

many good article directories went to nofollow links. Is it still worth posting articles to them for linkbuilding? What about if someone reposts an article, like how an article directory is supposed to be used. Does anyone know if the reposted article is a dofollow link or if they're all nofollows. I'm thinking large directories like ezinearticles or amazines or similar.

Thanks

If the link provided by the article directory is nofollow, and it is simply copied, that is what you will get. Ultimately, it depends on how the person using the article sets up links on their website.

If I were spending my time doing things manually, I would target for dofollow instead of nofollow. Not that you should completely stay away from nofollow..It's just if you're putting together unique articles and for posting around online find some guest posting sites or something where you can get a dofollow link from that work.

    Hi,

Nowadays article submission sites have no effect on SEO, So keep your content unique & quality, Write and share your content with your audience in mind, Make it easy for them to share, If you keep these points in your mind while sharing your article, that will help for you to get some backlinks.
Just copying other's content from article directories and posting them on the same directory or other article directories, always will not help you to get ranking. So atleast try to make some modification in the content and post it.

Won't it be okay if you post spun version of the content to the sites. There are people who do that.

Thanks for all the replies. I was really curious because I'd written about 3 articles and posted to 3 different article sites. It wasn't until they were published on each site that I saw the link at the bottom of every post back to me was nofollow, I just found it disheartening. I get more traffic from quora, but that's nofollow as well and was just trying to figure out the best way for dofollow links
