Where can I begin?

Hi everyone!


I am wanting to learn more about SEO for a few reasons, my main reason is so I can help my current business rank and of course, I'd just like to learn.


This forum seems to have tons of information available, in fact so much that I don't even know where to begin...


Which leads me to my question. Where should I begin?


Any advice/suggestions would be great!

    Yeah, I agree with above post, Start with keyword research and picking the right keywords for your website and adding it in your meta or title tags. Not repeating the same keywords again and again in the website.

    One of the first things is competitor analysis. What kind of companies are in the same space? How do you rank compared to them? What kind of SEO are they doing? Is your site good enough to compete?

    And yes, some of this research involves stuff that's a bit more advanced, which is why you might want to get someone to help you to get the ball moving.

    Hi Shane,

    When I started out with SEO, I focused to learn the following few things:

    1) How to do simple keyword research ( Using Google Keyword Planner)
    2) Understand about Title Tag and Keyword Tag.
    3) Install "All in One SEO pack" Plugin by Yoast (It's free)
