Are Google Campaigns with Banners effective?

Hi,

I need your opinion on this. Do you think it's worth to invest in PPC campaigns using banners, considering that banners only work with content based PPC?

Would you use static or animated images in your banners?

Hasn't worked for me. The ROI was negative so I stopped running image ads on AdSense. Text ads work fine.
