I'm building a pbn with wordpress only and need your help. For ex I have bought a domain name abc.com and it has 4 versions:
abc.com
www.abc.com
http://abc.com
http://www.abc.com
one of them for example www.abc.com has the highest TF and CF so I want to use it as the main url and redirect all other 3 to it. How can I do that in wordpress? is there any plugin to auto redirect that? And after redirect, how can I check to see it works?

Just make the change in the general settings in your Wordpress dashboard. It is all right there.

You Can Do It From Either Robots.txt
And From Domain Cpanel As Well

The robots.txt file won't do it. You need to set up a 301 redirect either via your cPanel or in your .htaccess file.

Edit: Try what Mike said above first. - Put http://www.abc.com (no slash at the end) in the "WordPress Address (URL)" field and also in the "Site Address (URL)" field in settings > general in WP.

That should do the trick. If not, then you can make this change to the .htaccess file:

      RewriteEngine on
      RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^abc.com [NC]
      RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.abc.com/$1 [L,R=301,NC]

After the redirect you can check it manual...

Thank you for all your help. I have searching around for awhile. Some said no need to use htaccess file because wp already support it in setting as @MikeFriedman said. Is it enough? Any other steps for it?

In wp setting, it can only allow two types: http:// and http://www. How about www. because when I check TF for http://www. and www. they show different scores.

For 1 site, I can change normally. But for another site, when I change it to http://www. it broke the layout and can't access to wp admin page(no server found)?

That's for Mike but I'll answer anyways.

After you make your changes simply open another browser that doesn't have any of your Wordpress history/cache & type the URL in your browser. Either it redirects to the correct URL or it doesn't. If it doesn't redirect to the correct URL, go back & fix the problem.

Like already mentioned Cpanel on most host admins. will create a htaccess redirect/file with a few clicks If you want to go that route. Verifying the correct URLs are working is the same, search from your browser, either it works or it doesn't.
