I write a bunch of SEO articles for my site. Where can I post links to these articles to get traffic? Are there specific URLs I should try?

It depends on your topic, Facebook to get social traffic should be nice, but you can try pages that talk about similar topics.

Well, post with links in WF are quite often flagged as spam or self-promotion. I've not done that myself too much, but even a link that perfectly fits the topic may get flagged.

For example, couple of days ago there was a new user who was searching for old threads and posting links that only tangentially touched the topics of those threads. This kind of behaviour is way too common here, and I'd guess that it's why even good links are frowned upon.

Yes, that would be a great idea if these were negative-SEO articles.

There is not much you can do that is more spammy than using article directories for links.

      Hi,
To answer your question there are few things to mention.

You are asking you have written some SEO articles for your site.

Your question is not clear so it may be:
Whether If you have already posted the articles on your site and want to get backlinks by posting same articles on other places?
If this is the case then I would suggest not to copy and paste your articles on to other directories.

Here is why, after search engine updates and new changes in algorithms, it is not a good idea to add same/duplicate content on various places.

You can edit your articles yourself and then add to various article directories or submission sites.

You have asked for links, here are some of the article directories:
      EzineArticles.com
      GoArticles.com
      ArticleBase.com
      EzineMark.com

      There are various other directories.

There's at least tens of thousands of sites that deal with SEO. It's not our job to figure to which of them would suit you and allow you to publish articles. It's fairly likely not the top players that we could name on the top of our head. They need to keep the quality top notch, and they get content offers every day. It's not going to be easy for nobodies like you and me.

And even your regular site owners may be harder than you think. My blog is not popular, but I've got a few offers. When I outline my requirements they seem to vanish even though I'm not asking that much. The content has to fit the topic, has to bring some value, and has to be of decent quality. You know, very basic stuff. But I'm guessing that these guys already have a stack of pre-written sales articles and no intention of purchasing any more.

The content in your blog is fairly well written. If you're able to provide articles that are the same caliber I'm sure you can find someone to publish them.

If you're looking for the well-known SEO forums just keep googling.

Google 'internet marketing blogs' without quotation marks. Start calling the owners.

Hell, if your articles are good, I'll post one or two and let you link to your site from one of my marketing sites.

But your article has to be as good as the ones I've got there. And they're good, even if I say so myself.

And this would be the reason I posted an explanation on why there are not a lot of helpful replies, and some words of encouragement.

Even if I had good suggestion I might not give them on a forum such as this. There's too many people to pester the poor site owner with crap offers.

If OP or someone else is looking for a list of easy targets there's always a recent topic with that kind of info. Those probably are not the sites you're looking for, tho.

First you create a blog page for your site and promote it. You can update your blog once in a week. Some of the article submission sites like stumbleupon, wordpress, blog.com, weebly, blogspot,newsvine.com, storify.com and also you can promote the content through your official linkedin, facebook pages also..

I know you aren't reading the thread, but just posting some generic and random stuff.

But as I said before the "web 2.0" sites are pointless, and mostly just a waste of time. WordPress, Weebly, and Blogger require you to set up a site and build it from the ground up. If you believe that the backlinks from your new blog sites have any juice you're sorely mistaken.

LinkedIn and Facebook may work for updating your existing followers, but the latter pretty much requires you to pay for any solid visibility unless your followers absolutely love you. They're worthless for backlinks.

Storify, Stumbleupon, Newsvine and others usually just give you nofollow links, and unless you promote the "stories" those are just going to vanish from sight.

Also, he's got a "blog page", that's not the issue.

They work if you make them work. My point is that "posting article to web 2.0" in the way that it's discussed here is pointless unless you built that "web 2.0" to be a site. Maybe your idea is to use some sort of tiered link building to get crappier links to that site, or maybe you've got some other strategy. In that case you're taking steps that have the potential to affect something. Such strategies are getting riskier, but that's beside my point anyways.

Too often you see people on WF tell sob stories about their "web 2.0" that took a lot of effort to built but didn't do anything for them.

I'm not sure why you'd promote a site that's built as a tool to get backlinks. Promote the money site, that's what matters.

My strategy is to write at least 3 different articles on my blog everyday and share it across all social media platforms. When I have a little free time I concentrate on building my social media following. I am a wordpress web designer so I pretty much target small business people. And they are many. Your niche is key. Getting traffic will all be a matter of understanding your targets.
