    Nothing comes close to keyword planner. All other keyword tools (excluding tools like ubersuggest) are cheap imitations usually sold at premium prices.

    My favorite tool is Long Tail Pro.

    The platinum version gives you a numerical score, from 0-100, that helps indicate how difficult it would be to rank for a specific keyword. This feature comes in handy when attacking low-hanging fruit keywords that you can rank for fast.

    It also gives you metrics against the page 1 competition (ex. PR, total backlinks, juice pages links, etc.) that will help you outrank them.

    Honestly they are all crap as suggested, you need to combine several to even get a good idea of keywords. Keyword planner was the best, some of the new ones appear to have cached their results from scraping keyword tool's data in the past but that limits new markets since the shut down of keyword tool.

    Aside from Google keyword planner you can consider other platforms like Reddit because they had an active online community their conversations can be considered as your source in finding the best related keyword phrases for your site.

    Google keyword tool is not good for keyword research. I have been use this only for check search volumes.
    ubersuggest . org, Google Suggestions, Wikipedia, reddit ,SEO SearchTerms Tagging plugin, forum discussions and Soovle.com one of my favorites.

      Its depending on you. Which types of tool you want to use paid or free. If you want to use free keyword tool then Keyword Eye is best option for you and you want to use paid keyword planner tool then you can use KeywordSpy, SEMrush etc.
