Hi,

I've looked for a couple of days now and can't seem to find an answer, was wondering anyone here has some knowledge on it!

Basically I'm re-branding a site with a new URL, and I want to 301 redirect my old site to my new site.

However I don't want to put some, which i deem, low quality posts from my old site to my new site.

How would I go about redirecting low quality posts to the new site if they aren't going to be recreated on the new site? Would I just redirect them to the new homepage? If so, how would i redirect some posts which will be recreated and some that won't? Would I have to manually place each line of 301 code for each page in my .htaccess?

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks!

    Forget the 301.

Since you are still paying for hosting and domain fees, just leave the stuff up.
On the main page, put a link, at the top, front and center, that directs people to the new site.

Put a link in the same spot on sub pages to similar new articles.

The new site has instant backlinks, and you are not trashing indexed content.

You are now on your way to creating a larger online footprint, and, starting an online empire.
