Hi there. I am newbie to SEO. May I know anyone is kind enough to share me all the tools that I should be using for analysing my site performance, keywords, or anything in particular to help me get traffics to my site no matter seo or ppc? anything that is good for newbie.

Tools that I am using now:
1. Google analytics (so far I had trouble getting useful information out of it. Not saying nothing but... nothing particularly useful for newbie I would say)
2. Google keyword (I still don't really understand it's actual functions. but I would say soon I will)
3. SEOquake (Easy analysis and understandable analysis. Asking me reduce and increase words and improvement for site, back links sitemap and stuff..)

This is all that I am using so I was wondering if I still need any more or any better ones...

Is there anything particular that is important elements that i need watch out on those that i am using right now?

Any recommendation and guides appreciate.

Thanks.

I only regularly use Google Webmaster Tools, StatCounter, and then stats for emails/affiliate programs/product sales. But I will have a look at some of the tools recommended above.

But remember: Time spent analysing all those stats is wasted time unless the analysis is concluded with some decision and its reasonably fast implementation (aka taking action). I shouldn't be saying that, because I'm so guilty of wasting my time obsessing about all the data.

same here, i am observing the data from Google ANalytics, but it aint helping me coming up with any thing in particular except that i know my site is flooded when we did some advertising on paper for recruitment. And i assumed it. As the same day of advertising i am receiving more search for my brand 2 to 3 times the regular inbound traffic. But I would say this is helping only in measuring my success in advertising on paper. It doesn help me in my long run. So I really hope to get something out of all the tools.

Those suggested above I did a quick run through tryout this morning. Some are suggesting about backlinks that i need to build and some suggest more content. So I will be working on those this 2 weeks.

Any suggestion on tools for keywords and what is nofollow and follow link that i had been reading about.

There's a pretty easy solution for that. Just whip out your credit card. If you don't want to, find out a service that does some of what you require for free. There's pretty decent SERP tracker services that have fairly generous free accounts, for example.

As far as I remember you can use Majestic for free to check your own backlink profile.

Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

      What's your excuse?
