    The latest update was mobile, which means Google finally made a major move in reaction to a trend that's been visible for couple of years at least.

    Moz has a list that's probably as comprehensive as it gets.

      That mobile algo. was about as catastrophic as Hummingbird (not a big deal).

        That's true. Very little to report, and the small changes I'm seeing aren't even consistent. Sites with no mobile are sometimes doing better than on desktop search.

    Google has not made a significant update, instead they are doing minor updates very often.

    2. Mobile capabilities for website
    3. Social media.

    •Clean optimized content for SEO. Normally I recommend content comprised of 2000+ words which is more trustworthy to the search engine.
    •Continuous social media engagement- Social signals are still been monitored.
    •Backlinks- more backlinks especial from sites with high good page authority & domain authority. This definitely improves one’s site ranking.

      Monitored by whom? "Social signals" is not a trend in SEO, and it's barely a thing that exist. Google recently made a deal with Twitter, but that doesn't mean that tweets help with SEO.

    Latest update in Google's algorithm was mainly about Mobile Friendly Websites. Though good SEO is performed to a Website, If a Website is not Mobile Friendly then it might get effect to the page rank in search engines.

    Maybe you should start following some websites, like Moz, to find out about these things. For now, the latest big update was the mobile thing, but if you want to keep up with everything, you should definitely follow some sites that focus on SEO related topics.
