    Hi,
Both On-site and Off-site SEO are important for a website to earn search engine advantages for a website. On-site SEO is important to describe your website to search engine while Off-site SEO is useful to rank your website using different online marketing techniques and search engine ad campaigns.

Yeah, but you can also include content optimization, keyword research in on page technique.
And in off page getting backlink as well as drive traffic for website so that you can get ranked easily on search engine optimization.

Is it a backlink when a company tweets 8 times a day with a link in the tweet?

Technically speaking, yes. However, nofollow link doesn't help with SE visibility.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.

From what I can understand... the vast majority of backlinks out there are nofollow and as such it looks "normal" to the algorithm if you have a good mix of both types of links. IOW's if we just attempt to get 100% dofollow (or whatever they are call described as) links, it could actually end up hurting in the long run.

Does that sound about right in your opinion?

Not really. Do you think that if you get all good "followed" links that's going to hurt you?

The real issue isn't nofollow or "dofollow", but unnatural link schemes and paid links. Cutts has said that you don't need to be afraid of nofollow links precisely because they're common and completely normal. In my opinion there's no need to balance link profiles. Bunch of harmless nofollows are not going help that much if your backlink source gets busted. Either you get caught, or not.

Granted, "Link balance hypothesis" is a fairly commonly held view. I might be completely wrong on this.

Yes, any website linking to your homepage or page within your website means you get a backlink. It can be twitter, it can be any other social media site, it can be a blog or any other website, if they link to you, you get what is called a backlink. Whether it's helpful in terms of SEO or not, it depends on the website.

ON and OFF page techniques are vital when comes to do SEO. There are some factors which are must be done before we going to an OFF page SEO. Those things are Title and Description. These two plays vital role while searching. Other than this, Include ALT tags to every image and make some primary keywords or phrases as H1 or H2. Include sitemap too. These are some ON page SEO factors.

OFF page SEO is getting back links from other niche related sites without modifying the codes. Some popular methods to do OFF page SEO are
    Article submission
    Blog posting
    Guest posting
    Forum Discussion
    Social media sharing
    Content curation
    Social Bookmarking

Yes, your thought is right! In "On Page SEO" most important fields are:

** Unique Meta title, meta description
** Accurate and unique page content
    ** Good URL Structure
** Better navigation for your website
** XML sitemap in right format
    ** Image ALT tag
    ** Proper Heading tag
    ** Robots.txt file
    ** Page speed issue
    ** Mobile friendly issue
** W3C error validation etc many more...

And in off page SEO while most of the links to your site will be gained gradually, as people discover your content through search or other ways and link to it,
Google understands that you'd like to let others know about the hard
work you've put into your content.

One more important thing you should care that post on your website blog on a regular basis. A blog post on your own site letting your visitor base know that you added something new is a great way to get the word out about new content or services.

While I do understand "content" in the context of a blog, how can a business work on it's content?

When you have described your products and your company.. what else is there?

I am thinking about blogging, but you probably need somebody who is writing lots and lots to even to a point of Long tail right?
