just wanted to inform you that in the last few days and due to google new approach to mobile issue in websites i can see that my apps are being downloaded much more

any news about this sadden change?

    Yes Google mobile search algorithm is giving ranking signal to mobile friendliness and due to this, you may get better position if customization is good and the best part is - Google is providing ranking to apps also. That's can be reason of downloading your app much more than before.

    Google announced a little while ago that it would start using mobile friendliness as a ranking signal. That means as long as your site is mobile friendly it will get some extra credit for that. If your site isn't mobile friendly then it could actually hurt you.

    There is no specific optimizing needed for mobile.. You just need to make certain that your site is mobile friendly!

      Not true. Websites with no mobile version have kept or even increased their rankings in the mobile search. It's just one of their ranking factors.

      Mobile is usually kind of a low hanging fruit, so I'd suggest that you implement it if it's possible.

      Their motto is "Don't be evil", but that's been heavily criticized and questioned.

      However, their goal is to give the best product they can, and relevancy and perceived "impartiality" has been very important when it comes to search results.

    Ahhhh... "Mobile-geddon". Leave it to Google to keep us IM's ever on our SEO toes. :-)

    If your website is mobile-friendly, you'll see a bump up in the rankings as a result of their April 21st change in algorithm. Basically, your site will be labeled as officially mobile-friendly if it follows these guidelines: https://developers.google.com/webmas...rtphone-sites/
