I just wondered what people think about the supposed new Google slap?

I got an email from a well known IM yesterday saying that Google seems to have turned it's sights on affiliate marketers with gusto, especially ones with review sites.

Quality scores that were 10/10 dropping to 1/10 and the inevitable ads going up to $5 or $10 overnight!

Is there a simple way to keep Google happy that you can follow without a phd?

From my understanding they are targetting sites that make false claims and a ton of those are like the weight loss review blogs. That says they are someone who tried like a Colon cleanse then a **** berry product and lost like 80 lbs. Which is people finding before and after pictures and writing a fake blog about how they lost weight.

Also, any site to make false claims when it comes to money. For instance look at Jeff Paul and FTC. I think Google is trying to crack down and make the FTC happy.

If you honest it shouldn't affect anything =)

I've noticed no slap on any of my sites, and I check daily.

The "slap" has affected the site consisting of Product reviews, mostly sites who promoted their products using the "product name SCAM" action plan.

I guess I am right but if wrong please correct me.
