Basically Ping is a procedure in which you tell search engine regarding newly updated content! Now You can also ping Google through Google Webmaster Tools by Using Fetch as a Google Boat Command!

Pinging is the process of letting the search engines know about the location of your newly created content. Typically, theses are included automatically if you use blogging platforms like Wordpress and Blogger. But, for those not using those platforms, once you create your content, visit pingler.com and fill in the questions asked - this way your new content is presented to the search engines as a new piece of the web to crawl.

Pinging means whenever your site getting updated so search engines know about this update. Basically the goal is to increase probability of your website getting indexed by google,yahoo so on...
For example
whenever you want that your newly keywords to be indexed by search engines. when you have updated informative content of your website so just go to pinging websites and put your URL and little bit information about the pinging service which would you like to choose.

Pinging is letting search engines know about new content on your site... You can use a sitemap page to Ping Google and Bing by submiting it to these Search Engines. To ping more search engines, you can do so automatically if you use WordPress.

Just head over to Dashboard ==> Settings ==> Writing and paste the following in the "Update Services Box"
