Something Weird with Adsense

For the past 3 months I have a blog that randomly makes me $150-$250 on a single day. The rest of the time the blog averages around $0.50 - $4 per day.

I have been ranking #2 for a keyword term in Yahoo for about 6 months now and traffic is consistent, around 50-75 visitors per day on analytics.

I'm wondering why all of a sudden on a single day my traffic and thus adsense revenue would sky rocket like this? Especially when my ranking in Google and Yahoo is remaining consistent throughout the month.

    So you went from $250/day to $4/day with the same amount of traffic? That huge difference is really weird.

    Perhaps those days advertisers happen to be more competitive or spend more money for the advertisements being shown on your site? Are you getting the same amount of clicks just for more?

    no traffic took a dip on the $4 day. I had a huge spike in traffic on one given day is what I'm getting at. I don't know how this happens on one single day in the month.
